Lifestage Wellness Care
Puppies and Kittens: Wellness and postpurchase examinations, vaccinations, intestinal parasite screening and deworming, nutrition, and behavior. Introduction to dental care, and heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Viral disease testing for cats.
Adults: Wellness and illness examinations, vaccination, intestinal parasite and heartworm screening, and weight management.
Geriatrics: Wellness and illness examinations, vaccination, intestinal parasite and heartworm screening, weight management, and preventive diagnostics.
Anesthetic and Surgical Procedures
Spay and Neuter: Surgical removal of the reproductive organs of female and male animals is strongly recommended. These procedures, especially if performed before sexural maturity is reached, decrease the risk of many cancers and hormone-related illnesses, behavioral problems, roaming, and unwanted offspring.
Dentistry: Ultrasonic scaling and polishing of the teeth must be performed under anesthesia, to allow complete examination of the oral cavity, thorough removal of placque and tartar, and prevent inhalation of bacteria and debris.
A wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries are performed in our hospital as well, including fracture stabilization, biopsy, exploratory and emergency surgery, feline declaw, and more.
Diagnostic Testing
Blood Profile Testing: A complete in-house laboratory and access to the Antech and Texas A&M Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories allows rapid screening for a variety of blood, internal organ, hormonal, parasitic, and viral diseases.
Radiology: The in-house x-ray and automatic processing machines provide diagnostic quality images in minutes.
Ultrasound: Painless, quick, noninvasive imaging of the internal organs is invaluable. Pregnancy, bladder and kidney stones, heart changes, and internal tumors are just a few of the conditions ultrasound makes easy to detect.
Cytology: A minimally invasive way to microscopically identify cancer cells and infectious agents quickly. An necessary diagnostic for the successful management of ear infections, skin disease, and cancerous tumors.
Referral
As general practitioners, our veterinarians may feel a patient's needs are best served by referral to a specialist. Our relationship with many emergency and referral facilities, as well as with the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Hospital, enables us to provide you with unlimited options for veterinary care.
